Frank Gu
Frank Gu leads the Nanotechnology Engineering Research Group in the Department of Chemical Engineering at the University of Waterloo, where he holds a Canada Research Chair. He is developing magnetically recyclable photocatalyst particles for treating contaminants in drinking and waste water. In the past six years, he has published 61 peer-reviewed papers, along with 71 refereed conference proceedings and abstracts, seven book chapters, and 19 US patent applications. His technologies have been licensed to several pharmaceutical and material manufacturing companies. Dr. Gu is the Theme Leader for NSERC-TERRE-NET Theme 5 - Innovative Treatment Technologies for Mine-impacted Water.
